Venue hire – Barn and Grounds only (4.00 pm day before wedding, to reception conclusion)

• Large historic, beautifully renovated barn, accommodates up to 200 people, features soaring ceilings, original details, views to grounds and 300 year old native bush, elegantly lit, including magnificent chandeliers.  Facilities include a kitchen, men’s and women’s toilets, wheelchair access, and outdoor paved areas
• Includes  fairy lights, registry table, gift table, PA system, cake table 
• Private and secluded beautiful park-like grounds with mature deciduous trees, spring bulbs (fantastic autumn and spring colour).  Picturesque location for outdoor ceremony
• Includes access to  the Homestead’s large formal Italianate gardens for wedding party photos
• Includes set up and clean up and rubbish removal
• Barn hire for “day after” function – $880 excl GST

High Season Sept – April – Weekend $7200 excl GST  Mid week $5500 excl GST

Low Season May – August –  Weekend $4500 excl GST Mid week $3000 excl GST

*Midweek weddings ( Tuesday – Thursday) Weekends (Friday – Sunday including public holidays)

Cottage

Three bedrooms (sleeps up to eight). Charming historic cottage. Beautifully renovated with lovely cottage garden. Fully equipped.

 

Honeymoon cottage

• Privately located, with its own cottage garden in a glade of silver birch and oak trees with views of the countryside
• The comfortable two room historic cottage features a romantic bedroom and bathroom

 

The Shearers’ Quarters

• Has five bedrooms (queen beds) with en-suites (one is wheelchair accessible), all with own external access.
• Shared lounge/kitchenette and laundry.
• Panoramic views to the countryside.

 

The Annex

• The Annex, attached to the main Homestead (but can be hired separately), comprises one bedroom with en-suite and conservatory/lounge area with its own private access. Looking out at the Italianate gardens.

 

Full hireage of the secluded Tuhitarata Estate Homestead and gardens for two nights (e.g. 2.00 pm Friday – 2:00 pm Sunday)

• Includes full use of the country house built in the 1860’s.  This historic and grand home comprises of a large formal dining room, large formal living room, conservatory, large country kitchen, scullery, media room, six double bedrooms, four bathrooms and one separate toilet, and a facilities room.   Also includes a large patio off the formal lounge and a swimming pool.
• The magnificent rooms are furnished elegantly exuding an intriguing atmosphere, reflecting their hidden history and the owners’ interesting backgrounds.
• All rooms provide stunning views of the old English trees, the magnificent formal Italianate garden, the orchard and the rural countryside and mountain ranges  beyond.
• Hireage of the homestead allows for the option of holding the wedding  ceremony within the formal gardens.
• Adults only inside the Homestead.
• Hireage of the homestead includes the Annex.
